I was finally able to order a Logo 200 from Mikado USA when it was finally back in stock! I also ordered 4 extra battery trays and 4 extra batteries from Mikado's new battery line on sale! :)

Logo 200! New training heli on Vcontrol with Rescue!
I want to get a new "training" heli! The Logo 200 is coming out soon and uses 173 mm blades. It's size is bigger than my 130x and smaller than my Trex 250 (uses 210 mm blades). The best part is the gyro is a Vbar mini Neo! So it will fly awesome, handle like a big heli, and I can fly it on my Vcontrol radio!
So I can fly my 650, 550, 380, and 200 on my best radio :)

No Flying
I haven't flown since mid-May. That's when the construction started at the Hoyt north field. The south field is not as easy to fly from due to the tree line in the background. The trees makes it harder to see the heli or plane when flying below the treetops.
The very last time I flew I crashed my 230 due to a gyro calibration issue. I should have re-booted the gyro, but I was being lazy. On a pass in front of myself the heli banked and dove at the ground so fast all I could do was hit the hold switch as it hit the ground. The damage isn't too bad. Looks like a stripped main gear, broken tail prop, lost dfc link. The blade grips were intact! But, I haven't felt like fixing it since then.

No More Flying at the Hoyt North Field :(
Construction started on the Hoyt Park north field back in May 2020! This was the best field to fly from on Sunday mornings! It was also the most open, with no tree line on the far side. I should probably renew my membership at the Sea World field, as it may become the only place I can fly? I would join Palomar, but the membership is so expensive! I would need to fly there every weekend to justify the cost.

2020 Update!
Luckily daylight savings time returns next weekend, so maybe I can sneak in a few flights in the evening? If I get home from work early enough I think I can charge a few packs and be at the field to fly about 6 pm. If it doesn't rain that is!

V22 Osprey Maiden
For the maiden flight I just hovered around making sure all the controls responded correctly and that self-leveling was active. All went as planned!
For the next flight I would transition to airplane mode for the 1st time. I've heard that if the motor nacelles are not parallel, the plane will turn during the transition. But, I checked the alignment on my plane several times, and all looked good! I forgot to center the sticks during the automatic transition though, and still had the elevator forward from flying as a multi-rotor. When the transition completed the plane dove for the ground! Luckily I was up high enough to save it from crashing into the ground on the 2nd flight!
The last 2 flights went smoothly, now that I centered the right stick before transitioning to airplane mode. I only flew around in self-level mode, and the Osprey flew great! I was flying around pretty fast, for this size of plane anyway. I was having a great time!
