I'm back!

I recently started flying my helicopters again! What got me back into it was that a co-worker just picked up a Blade 400 and I've been helping him learn to fly.

I did get the mCX, and it's a nice little heli to fly indoors around the house. I also plan to pick up the mSR, and use it to practice nose-in hovering in my dining room :)

I crashed my Trex 450 awhile ago and just finally got it repaired at the urging of my co-worker, who just got into the hobby. It's flying again, but the set up on the head is not symmetrical, making it fly "broken"'. I picked up a flybar lock and am planning to get a swash leveler and new pitch gauge to re-do the set up on my Trex head.

I also finally upgraded my CX2 by adding an aluminum swash and head block. I also mounted up the Seahawk body and can now do rolling take offs! :) I want to add the remote light kit from the CX3 sometime in the future, but need to get a new battery, since the stock one had finally given up... I plan to pick up the Protek R/C 25C 850mah pack from A Main Hobbies, which should be a significant improvement over the 10C 800mah stock pack.

And I upgraded my EF Sabre with all new electronics! I used the 3n1 from the Blade CP Pro, an AR6100 Spektrum receiver, and Hitec servos. It's fun to fly when I want to "float" around in the sky, as I use old batteries in it that I can't use in my CP Pro, resulting in flight times near 15 minutes, since the motor draws so little current and I'm using 11.1V batteries.

I've also been practicing nose-in hovering on the my sim (Real Flight G3.5) and with the mCX, and am almost ready to try it with my Trex.
